As a Dad, there are some valuable lessons to learn from National Signing Day. Here are the four takeaways that I learned:1) Share your passions with your kids. It can be an excellent way to bond with them and help them find their passions.2) Attend your kids' athletic events, and make sure they see you smile and laugh. Your presence and support can mean a lot but seeing you happy is their ultimate goal. 3) Help your kids find their tribe, even if it's not convenient for you. Support them in their interests and hobbies.4) Tell your kids that you're proud of them, and explain why. It can boost their confidence and self-esteem.My dad missed the opportunity to see his second grandson on National Signing Day, but his legacy lives on through the principles he instilled in me. As a Dad, you have the chance to make a difference in your kids' lives. Don't wait to show them your love and support. When you do it will unveil your inner hero. Be Inspired To Take Imperfect Action!#beintentional

Wrapping up an amazing SKO FY25 in Austin and here are all of my takeaways - 1/ Nothing beats in person. I love remote work and I do think it’s great for individuals, but the amount of work and collaboration (and laughs) you can have in person is unmatched. 2/ SKO should be geared to connecting with those individuals that you don’t speak to on a regular basis. Take this time to build relationships. Much easier to get things done in the future if you have shared a coffee or beer with that person at an event. 3/ It’s the perfect way to get the team and company fired up about the future. 4/ Take advantage of the down time. We scheduled work out classes, runs, basketball games, happy hours, dinners and team building when we weren’t in session. 5/ Do your best to stay out late. Some of the best memories happen at night. 6/ Have fun, but never be a “story”. 7/ Use this time to elevate your brand. Connect with others, share ideas, be your best you. These moments pay dividends. Thanks Austin, you were fantastic. Onto Quebec in a few months. 🍁🇨🇦

👋🏻 Introducing Matt Rooney, Zund's Midwest Graphics and Packaging Regional Sales Manager. Since joining us in April 2016, Matt's dedication to our products has only deepened. Not just a colleague but a mentor, Matt embodies Zund's commitment to excellence. We appreciate Matt's stellar contributions. Your efforts are truly appreciated, Matt! Explore Matt's interests beyond Zund below.Q: If you could master any musical instrument, which one would you choose and why?A: The guitar. I’ve always been fascinated with the guitar but after buying a few and doing some lessons I just can’t seem to get it. Maybe someday when there is more free time, but I applaud everyone out there that is even remotely good at playing it.Q: What's your favorite season of the year and why?A: Summer, no question. Living in the Midwest offers a nice change of seasons, but nothing is better than summer in this area (and I can attest having lived in other States along the way).Q: What's the most memorable vacation you've ever taken and what made it special?A: I’ve traveled to many countries and locations, but one of my favorite trips was when my wife and I took 10 days to drive around Germany (pre-kids of course!). We saw many beautiful and interesting sites, stayed in large cities and very small towns, and of course did two nights at Oktoberfest. I sure hope to go back to 🍻 Oktoberfest again – a pure blast!Q: What's your favorite board game or card game to play with friends and family?A: Monopoly has always been a favorite with the family. After figuring out how to play a “fast” version of the game (no more 2-3 hour events) we’ve had a lot of laughs playing this game.Q: What's your favorite outdoor activity or hobby?A: Anything to do with boats ⛵. Living in IL is probably a poor choice for someone that would rather “live on the water” but I’ve been a boater for 25+ years now and enjoyed every moment I can be out there. Retiring on a boat is a goal and I think I have my wife talked into it, for part of the year anyway!#meetzund #employeespotlight #zundcutter
