It has been a week - we were at #vivatech2024 in Paris. An interview with Markus Neumann.We often tell how crucial it is for us as trend scouter to meet, see, feel trends - live. VivaTech in Paris is the largest tech and start-up venue.Dear Markus, you've attended the venue.* Which impressions do you take away from visiting VivaTech? *To sum up VivaTech in one sentence: a very impressive line-up from tech giants (Amazon, Microsoft, Nvidia, Meta were all present with own booths) blending in with French corporations showcasing their innovation initiatives. It made me happy to see an event like this in Europe. Bravo to France for making it happen!*What were your highlights?*The gems were hidden on the side stages. More niche and nerdy topics. If I had to name one highlight: the talk from AXA insurance about how they use next generation satellite data to improve the insurance process for commercial buildings. Very insightful and a trend of "satellite data" that we have on our radar.*Would you visit VivaTech again?*Yes, it is definitely worth a visit. I stayed for 2,5 days which was the ideal amount of time. A tip for everyone thinking about visiting next year: come prepared! Set yourself an agenda of what to see and what to leave out.
