Well, thanks to a lovely Anonymous at 4chan's /a/ I was able to watch this with mostly good subtitles a little early! The first thing I noticed was that the excellent animation has returned to normal!! That alone made the episode at least 50% better than episode 4. I liked this episode quite a bit for many reasons, the first being that it was more serious and had a slower pace than the other four. Although it was a bit grey, I'm glad my eyes could rest for an episode. The living environment of this underground dwelling made me happy to see the glaring sun in the evenings :P Though it was slower paced, the action sequence at the end was still well done. I lol'd long and hard when Yoko was asked to wear that bag to cover up her boobs, and I lol'd harder at Kamina and Simon's attempts to see her belly button, and was extremely happy when she pounded Kamina's lowly self into the ground for doing so. Yoko wa whore ja nai da ~ Lol at the Gainax references in the preview, ranging from Rei and Asuka to Gunbuster 2 characters. Yoko > all of them~
