Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration becauseit supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Because the world was closed for years and students were stuck at home, they didn't have opportunities to see or learn about the world. Books provide a ticket to see the world and a window with a glimpse into the life of someone different from ourselves. After Covid-19 I am making it a priority to bring diversity into my classroom in as many ways as possible. In addition, I am noticing that students sometimes struggle to pay attention but when they are given hands-on opportunities to participate in STEM they will be able to focus, engage, learn and remember. I am so excited to dissect squids with my students!
