Job Description:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Create and maintain a supportive and structured classroom environment.
Adapt and modify curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student.
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure students' success.
Monitor and assess students’ progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
Provide emotional and behavioral support to students.
Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Education And Certification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Valid Michigan Special Education Teaching Certification.
Experience working in a self-contained classroom setting.
Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
